50th Anniversary Defender 90 Upgrades

This fine looking Land Rover Limited Edition D90 was sent to us from Porterdown near Belfast for one of our bespoke Stage 3 4.6 Engine upgrades. When we stripped the original 4.0 litre engine all the normal problems with cylinder leakage where found as well as some other issue that were causing a total lack in engine power and efficiency.

In addition to the new RPi bespoke Coscast 4.6 engine installation, we also undertook a service rebuild on the transmission, a rear chassis cross member replacement, commonly required for this model. A winch and tubular bumper system, stainless steel exhaust and split charging system with Twin Optima deep cycle batteries.

What's more I drove the Car back to the owner checking out many locations on the way. The trip to Ireland from Norfolk was without fault, power delivery can only be explained as a D90 on Steroids, especially with all that new found torque burbling endlessly from the 4.6. Economy was also up by a minimum of 30% from its original status and much more when you consider how bad it had gotten prior to coming over to us.

Furthermore and vehicle issues aside I would like to add that a visit to Ireland is such an eye opener, I have travelled a lot in my time but never have I come across such warm hearted folk as there is in both Northern and Southern Ireland and if you ever fancied going yourself I can highly recommend it for many other reasons, far to many indeed to include here.
