Land Rover 101 undergoing an extensive DIY style/level engine upgrade, brought about by an issue with all early engines, where the distributor and cam drive wear out, thus we will be fitting a modern cam with thrust plate upgrade. its a multi faceted upgrade with best solution as well as the cure to what otherwise is incurable.
Many pre 1986 Rover V8 Engine have no ability to locate the cam, such issues can cause catostraphic failure between the camdrive gear and distibutor gear, The cam thrust button has been absent for such a long time and now we have devoleped abetter replacement made from high grade nylon.
